Welcome to South Cambodia
Southern Cambodia is home to a variety of attractions and destination to suit every type of traveler be they seeking adventure, discovery or escape. You will find pristine island, lush J jungles and sleepy waterways alongside ancient temple-Ruins, Party-Hunters, Casino and Breezy colonial-era towns. There's certainly something for everyone.Cambodia-Vietnam border Crossing
From here, travel east to Kampong Trach district, and then south on Route 31 (turn right at Salt Carriers Statue). Road #31 is completely paved. This is the same road leading to Angkaul Beach. The border is 25km from Kep city, and 40 km from Kampot province. One-month Vietnam visas are not available at the border and must be obtained beforehand( Phnom Penh City, Battambang or Shihanukvile). Coming into Cambodia, Visas are available. There i s no 3 month tourist visa from Cambodia. The 3 month mentioned on your visa is period you have to enter Cambodia, not the allowed period of time to stay in Cambodia. So, be careful and check your departure card. Fines are $10/ for overstaying your visa. A Cambodian tourist visa can be extended for one month but only one.
Communications
Most guesthouse, hotel, bars/restaurants offer free Wifi these days. there is not too much accommodation left with a public pc for internet as many tourist these days will travel with their own Wifi device. Check listings for more information. Your best bet to make international phone calls is to buy a local SIM fir around $2 (int call from 6c/m).
